Deep Brain Reorienting: Preparing for Level 1 Training
Once you have decided DBR training is right for you, there are a number of things you can do to get ready for training. The more you prepare, the more you will get out of the experience!
First, please make sure you meet the prerequisites for training. In order to be eligible for DBR Level 1 training, you must:
Be a licensed mental health or healthcare professional.
Have a background in trauma treatment.
Have a minimum of two years post-qualification clinical experience.
If you meet those qualifications, you can register for a Level 1 training. We also recommend you explore some relevant material as you wait for training. Here are some excellent resources to get you ready:
Browse our recommended courses on EEG Learn to start learning about DBR. We especially recommend conferences and courses with Dr. Frank Corrigan, Dr. Ruth Lanius, and Sebern Fisher.
Learn foundational information on the modality from Dr. Corrigan's book, and view the free book release party and Q&A hosted on EEG Learn.
View the free videos posted on DeepBrainReorienting.com for relevant neuroscience information and an explanation of the shock sequence underlying DBR.
Watch our interview with Dr. Corrigan on the Neurofeed Podcast to learn more about the paradigm shift in trauma recovery supported by his research.
Read papers published by Dr. Corrigan, Hannah Young, and others in the DBR community.
