What Is a Keyfile?

A keyfile is a small update file that unlocks an EEGer system for use. It tells the system which mode it is allowed to use, what extra games and features it has enabled, and when the license needs to be renewed.

Keyfiles can be sent by email or, in recent versions of the software, will be downloaded and installed automatically by the software when available.

A new update file will be sent if:

  • New games or features are purchased.

  • The version is upgraded, or the software mode changes.

  • The license requires a renewal to extend its expiration date.

When a keyfile is sent, we will help get it installed by providing installation instructions.
